Cookie policy
This site shows no cookie banner. That is not an oversight — it is because we set no cookies that require your consent, and we would rather build the site that way than interrupt you with a dialogue about it.
Why there is nothing to consent to
Under Article 122 of the Italian Codice Privacy and the Garante’s guidelines of 10 June 2021, consent is needed for cookies and similar technologies that are not strictly necessary to deliver the service you asked for. Analytics, advertising, social widgets and embedded players all fall on that side of the line.
We use none of them. This site runs no analytics script at all. Traffic is counted by Cloudflare, which already carries every request as our reverse proxy and measures them at its own network edge — so there is nothing to place on your device and nothing to load into the page. There are no advertising scripts, no social buttons, no embedded videos, no chat widgets, and no fonts loaded from someone else’s server — the typefaces are served from this domain.
What is actually stored on your device
| Name | Set by | Lifetime | What it is for |
|---|---|---|---|
__cf_bm |
Cloudflare | 30 minutes | Tells automated traffic from human traffic so the site stays reachable. Strictly necessary, so no consent is required. |
wordpress_logged_in_* |
This site | Session | Keeps an editor signed in. Only ever set after someone signs in to the administration area — never for a visitor. |
wp-settings-* |
This site | 1 year | Remembers an editor’s own interface preferences. Again, only after signing in. |
If you have never signed in to this site’s administration area, the only entry in that table that can apply to you is the first one.
Controlling them yourself
Every browser can block or delete cookies — the setting is usually under Privacy. Blocking __cf_bm may make the site slower to reach or, in some conditions, unreachable, because it is part of how Cloudflare separates real visitors from automated traffic.
If this page stops being true
Any future change that adds a third-party script to a page — an embedded video, a chat widget, a remarketing tag — would require consent, and we would then have to add a banner and rewrite this page before shipping it. Until that happens, this is the whole picture.
